                                                      How to make Anzac biscuits


Ingredients                                                                                       
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of rolled oats
1 cup of desiccated coconut
1 cup of all purpose flour
115 g of butter 
2 tablespoons of golden syrup
1 tablespoon of  baking soda
Hot water



Appliances 
2 bowls 
A spoon 
Measuring cups 
Measuring spoons 
A pot /  saucepan 





  1. Get all the ingredients and appliances ready


  1. Now set the oven to 170 degrees 


  1. Grab the sugar, oats, desiccated coconut, flour and a bowl


  1. In the bowl pour 1 cup of sugar then 1 cup of oats then a cup of desiccated coconut and finally add 1 cup of all purpose flour

  1. Now with your hands roll your hands through a little bit

  1. Cut off 115 g of butter and put it in the pot on the stove

  1. In the same pot add two tablespoons of golden syrup

  1. While they melt, in another bowl put 1 tablespoon of baking soda and a little bit of hot water 
  2. Now mix the water and baking soda until mixed completely 

  1.  Pour the water and baking soda into the pot with the butter and golden syrup

  1. Mix those wet ingredients together until smooth and thoroughly mixed 

  1. Add the wet mixture to the dry and use the spoon to mix 

  1. After the mixture is formed together put your hands in and grab a bit

  1. Roll the bit in your hand until in a firm ball 

  1. After you roll it put on the tray that has baking paper covering it 

  1. Leave space in between each so they can spread

  1. This will mean you might have to do several different sets of biscuits in the oven

  1. After you’ve put them on the tray push them down slightly so they spread better

  1. Put them in the oven and leave them there for 10- 12 minutes

  1.  They should look golden brown and crispy around the edges.

  1. When there ready take them out let them cool then enjoy

  1. Georgia, I like how you have separated the recipe into different steps and sequenced them. Next time, check if each step has a clear verb or action for the reader to carry out (like rolling, mixing, melting, etc). Sometimes recipes tell us what to look out for so we know we are following the instructions correctly. These sentences should be grouped with another step because they add detail to that part of your instruction.
