                                  Summary part 2 Brockenhurst

Edna  had just been working in Egypt and had been sent to Brockenhurst, England to work there. Edna is a nurse from New Zealand she applied to be a nurse in the war and she got chosen. She was asked to go to one of the five hospitals for New Zealand soldiers. The hospital got busy after a while especially when the fighting on the Somme started. Everyone started rolling in. ambulances coming all the time operations needed almost every second. She was always writing in her diary about how many people were there, how horrible the fights were. That’s how it carried on for over a year.
